As a partner at QKFT, I designed the platform connecting fitness enthusiasts with verified trainers and gyms. I led UX/UI in Figma and oversaw the SwiftUI MVP to ship something testable and validate the market fast.

I built the brand identity and conducted the market research defining our users: urban beginners to intermediates struggling to find trustworthy trainers. Those insights drove every product choice.

Our pitch deck highlighted the AI Trainer Match Score and commission-based revenue model. It opened investor doors, grew the team to four, and set us up for Toronto beta plus facility partnerships.

Redefining Fitness Connections

QKFT App Dashboard

I designed the QKFT mobile app in Figma, focusing on intuitive search, easy booking of certified trainers, and quick access to nearby gyms. The interface had to feel reliable and welcoming for users tired of generic plans or dodgy listings.

The AI Trainer Match Score stands out, blending user goals, trainer specialisations, and real feedback to suggest strong matches immediately. We built the MVP in SwiftUI for smooth bookings, gym passes, class reservations, and secure in-app payments.

Every screen, from detailed trainer profiles and gym pass flows to in-app chat and fast onboarding, builds trust and removes friction. The focus stays on letting users train without logistical headaches.

Branding

Building a Trusted Fitness Identity

I shaped QKFT's brand around a bold yellow and black palette that signals energy and reliability. The slogan 'Train Smarter, Not Harder' defined the tone across the app, landing page, and marketing.

Custom illustrations and visuals unify the app, website, and pitch materials into one clear story. Consistency like this earns trust from users and shows investors a professional, cohesive vision.

Branding flows into the pitch deck and gym-facing web experience, so every touchpoint reinforces our mission to deliver trustworthy fitness connections.

Market Research

Identifying Opportunities

Research highlighted three overlapping markets: Fitness Apps (~$12B), Personal Training (~$12-16B), and Fitness Facilities (over $120B). The intersection reveals a real gap. QKFT targets exactly that centre.

About 60% of people hunting for trainers struggle to find qualified ones. Trust is the core barrier. Urban beginners and intermediates need structure and accountability but often get generic plans or unverified options.

These insights guided decisions: verified trainer networks, AI matching on goals and expertise, transparent profiles with credentials and reviews upfront. In a big fragmented space, the advantage is easier, trustworthy matches.

Investor Outreach and Milestones

Driving Growth and Funding

I crafted the pitch deck to clearly show our 10% commission on bookings and scaling path in a massive North American fitness market. That clarity mattered for investor talks.

I handled outreach to investors and SR&ED grant applications. We reached solid milestones: live landing page, functional MVP, team of four through targeted recruitment.

Now positioned for Toronto beta and fitness facility partnerships. The focus shifts to execution and real-user learning to refine and grow.
